The main objective of this report is to analyse the key trends that are leading to changes in the African conflict prevention and management landscape.
The report discusses four major trends in order to report on much-needed adjustments to external donor engagements with their conflict prevention and peace-making African partners.

I ett av världens mest utmanande länder för jämställdhet arbetar Gaudence Nyirabikali som genusrådgivare för EUCAP Somalia, utsänd av FBA. Genom att integrera genusfrågor i säkerhetssektorn, stärka civilsamhällets roll och främja internationellt samarbete, bidrar hon till att skapa en mer inkluderande framtid och lägga grunden för hållbar fred.

In recent years, young people’s crucial role in preventing conflict and maintaining peace has become increasingly recognized as the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) agenda has gained momentum. At the same time, the Climate, Peace and Security (CPS) field is developing rapidly at the research and policy levels. CPS is also increasingly becoming an entry point for programming; recognizing the interactions between climate change and existing vulnerabilities, which compound risks of insecurity, including violent conflict and the erosion of social cohesion.
