Western Balkans
Lejla is project manager for FBA’s work with the Swedish development cooperation strategy for the Western Balkans. She has long-standing experience in development cooperation, human rights and peacebuilding operations in the Western Balkans from both non-profit organizations and the public sector.
She has previously worked at the Swedish Institute where she was responsible for its work with the Western Balkans and Turkey. She has also worked with the Swedish institute’s leadership programme for sustainable development in the Western Balkans.
For three years, Lejla was stationed in Bosnia and Hercegovina by the Olof Palme International Center to work with the EU membership processes of the countries in the Balkan region.
