FBA offers training and advice in order to strengthen the capacity of individuals and institutions working for peace. Most of our courses and advisory services are tailor-made upon demand from organizations such as the EU, UN and OSCE. But we also offer courses open for all applicants working, or planning to work, within the field of peace and security. Below are the current courses you can apply for. Police officer Innocent Rutema Baguma works for gender equality in eastern DR Congo

Innocent Rutema Baguma works as a police officer in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. Since the start of his police career in 2004, he has taken several initiatives for increased gender equality within the police force. Today, he is an active member of the FBA-supported Inclusive Peacebuilding Network (RCPI), working for change at home, within the police and in society at large.

Gender Assessment of the 2021 Electoral Process in Puntland

On October 25, 2021, Puntland became the first federal member state in Somalia to hold democratic elections to district councils. “One person one vote” elections were conducted in three “early districts” of Eyl, Ufeyn and Qardho. In addition to their historic significance, these elections offer an important opportunity to learn lessons, not least when it comes to the promotion of gender equality and the political participation of women.
