Helen Wilandh is project manager for FBA’s work with the Swedish regional development cooperation strategy in Africa. She was previously working for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, OCHA, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi and Switzerland. She has also been working for SIPRI, Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, with a project on the role of civil society in the peace process in Mali. Helen holds degrees in political science and international law.

Sara EL Khatib has been awarded this year’s 1325 scholarship on women, peace and security in Palestine. The scholarship, established in memory of Zaida Catalán, allows her to spend a year with the civil society institution MIFTAH.
