Tobias Priadi-Sörensen is one of several Swedes seconded by FBA to the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia.
Around 35 participants will take part in the meeting and the main target group is the PDAs of West and Central Africa. The Resident Coordinators (highest UN official in a country) from several countries will also be present as well as some PDAs from other parts of Africa. In addition, a number of key people from the UN headquarters in New York (UNDPA and UNDP) will take part.
The main purpose of the meeting is to share experiences and develop skills for collaborative processes, with a focus on dialogue and mediation. Participants will work on specific case studies such as Ghana. FBA arranged a preparatory workshop in Sweden in February to develop the agenda for the event. The two main facilitators of FBA programmes on dialogue and meditation, Chris Spies (conflict transformation practitioner from South Africa) and Emmanuel Bombande (WANEP, Ghana) will also be facilitating this capacity building and networking event in Dakar.
