Tobias Priadi-Sörensen is one of several Swedes seconded by FBA to the European Union Monitoring Mission in Georgia.
This report offers an extended version of the assessment referred to in “Gender, Peace and Security in the European Union’s Field Missions” (Olsson et. Al 2014).
The report looks closer at what it means to work with gender mainstreaming and gender specific measures in practice – that is, actions meant to directly support gender equality efforts or improve women’s situation – in the setting of a Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) mission focusing on advising and mentoring the police and criminal justice sector.
The report looks at central aspects of the work and formulates twelve recommendations on how to strengthen the European Union Police Mission for the Palestinian Territories (EUPOL COPPS) on gender mainstreaming.
