FBA:s workwith Ukraine

FBA has been mandated by the government to implement Sweden's strategy for reconstruction and reform cooperation with Ukraine for the period 2023-2027, together with Sida and the Swedish Institute. Through our efforts, we will contribute to the goal of Ukraine's EU integration, which is a crucial aspect of creating long-term conditions for peace and security in Ukraine.

Scholarship in support of women, peace and security in memory of Zaida Catalán

1325-scholarship in memory of Zaida Catalán: application is open

This scholarship supports young peacebuilders who are working to promote women’s participation in conflict resolution. It was established in memory of Zaida Catalán, who was seconded from FBA to several international peace operations where she served as gender expert.

The Folke Bernadotte Academy (FBA) and the International State Crime Initiative (ISCI) brought together researchers and experts for a dialogue on genocide, drawing on historical and contemporary lessons, in light of the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza over the past two years.
