Information and Intelligence Cooperation in Multifunctional International Operations (IIC)
They will also learn how information and intelligence is essential to all governmental and non-governmental actors with regard to increasing both the security and operational effectiveness of a mission. Course members will develop their understanding of different actors' respective information needs and the caveats necessary for enhanced cooperation and coordination.
The course centres on the collection of information through building human networks and the use of internet-based open source data mining techniques. Participants are provided with practical tools that are adapted to individual needs and conditions.
Participants are sought with relevant work experience, preferably from international missions. They should either already work in a related field or be designated for such work. This course is intended for participants from governmental and non-governmental organizations, business communities, police and military organizations.
Please note that members will be required to bring a laptop in order to participate fully in the practical sessions.
