Facilitation of Dialogue Processes and Mediation Efforts
Its main focus is on skills-building in the facilitation of dialogue and mediation procedures and guides course members through the different phases of such processes. The programme includes elements of conflict analysis, process design, and the implementation of an agreement.
The course is administered in a highly interactive manner that seeks to draw on the knowledge and experience of both facilitators and participants. Among other things, members will receive training in:
- Conflict analysis.
- Process design.
- Practical training in dialogue and mediation.
Participants should be representatives from national or local governments, international, intergovernmental, regional, sub-regional or civil society organizations, police or military personnel, or local stake-holders, who play a role in preventing or transforming violent conflict.
